Freshers

Welcome to one of Cardiff University's most active and fun filled societies. We're called Cardiff Student Scouts and Guides Society (or more commonly SSAGS). We're here to make sure you keep having fun through Guiding and Scouting whilst away from home at University.

As you might expect there are many traditional Guiding and Scouting activities and adventures that we love to take part in, but with a unique student twist. These range from a whole mix of weekly socials and the friendly and leisurely Wednesday lunchtimes to the action packed and hyperactive weekends camping, which happen a couple of times every term.

So, if you're interested in joining Cardiff SSAGS make sure you give us a visit at the Freshers' Fayre or send us an email to cardiff.ssags@googlemail.com. Alternatively you are very welcome to drop into The Kitchen, in the Students' Union, on a Wednesday lunchtime from 12-2pm where you'll meet many of our members and find out what we are all about first hand.

We have loads planned for this coming year, even some very special events just for you Freshers'. There's a Tea Party, Freshers' Camp and a Pubcrawl, all dedicated to all you wonderful people so make sure you don't miss out on the fun. You'll be sure to catch the extremely infectious ‘SSAGS Bug' so we are looking forward to seeing you very soon!
